Barbara is the Director of Technical Accounting for the Silicon Valley office of Accretive Solutions, responsible for coordinating the technical team, addressing the impact of new regulatory guidance, developing training and tools for consultants—and answering technical questions! She also provides consulting services to clients, primarily focusing on SEC reporting and equity accounting issues.
Experience
Barbara’s background includes more than a quarter century of accounting expertise, specializing in SEC reporting. Prior to joining Accretive Solutions, she was the External Reporting Controller for Intel Corporation. She has also managed the external reporting function for other high-tech companies and was the Director of Mutual Fund Reporting for Fidelity Investments in Boston, where her group was responsible for 400 financial statements a year. Barbara launched her accounting career with the Boston office of Ernst & Young.
Barbara holds a Master of Science degree in Accountancy from Bentley College. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Financial Executives International.
